REF.001

Effective date

This Privacy Policy is effective January 1, 2025, and was last updated April 27, 2026. We reserve the right to update this policy at any time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. All modifications will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of Siloboda following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

REF.002

Who we are

Siloboda is a productivity application designed to help users manage deadlines by transforming due dates into structured preparation timelines with actionable prep steps and risk assessments. We are committed to complete transparency about how we collect, use, and protect your information. This privacy policy outlines our core practices for the Siloboda iOS application. We prioritize user privacy and have built our product to minimize data collection while maximizing core functionality. Our app uses a device-first philosophy, keeping all your deadline data, prep steps, and risk assessments stored locally on your device. We do not partner with third parties for core data handling. Your information remains secure and accessible only to you, never shared.

REF.003

Data we collect

Siloboda collects only the data necessary for core app functionality, all stored locally on your device. You create and manage Deadline objects containing a title, due date, effort band (such as low, medium, high), and category designation. As you use the app, we store Prep Step information linked to each deadline, including the step title, the associated deadline, the number of days before the due date, and the current status of each step. Risk Check data is also recorded, which includes the linked deadline, a readiness score, a risk band classification, and any blocker notes you enter. Additionally, we store your app usage patterns and preference settings for Lead Time Lessons, Deadline Quiz interactions, Due Shelf Deck organization, and Risk Rubric configurations. We do not collect device identifiers, location data, IP addresses, or any information about other apps on your device. Siloboda does not require account creation, login, or network connectivity to function. All data remains entirely on your device.

REF.004

How we use it

Your deadline, prep step, and risk check data powers Siloboda's core purpose: transforming due dates into lead-time bands, prep steps, and actionable risk scores that drive your next action. Lead Time Lessons uses your deadline data for preparation guidance. Prep Step records help the app calculate how many days remain before action is needed. Risk Rubric scoring uses your Risk Check data to surface potential blockers and readiness gaps. Due Shelf Deck organizes your deadlines by category and date. Deadline Quiz interactions personalize recommendations for future deadlines. We analyze your usage patterns and settings to improve the interface and overall app performance. We do not sell, share, or use your data for marketing, analytics, advertising, or any other purpose. Your information exists solely to serve your deadline management needs within Siloboda.

REF.005

Data handling commitment

Siloboda is built on privacy-first architecture where your deadline data remains on your device at all times. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption and secure storage protocols to protect your Deadlines, Prep Steps, and Risk Checks. Your data is never transmitted to Siloboda servers, cloud services, or external networks without your explicit action. We do not sell, use, or disclose user data to third parties for any purpose. Data retention is determined entirely by you—you maintain complete control over when to edit, archive, or delete your deadlines and associated prep steps. We do not share your information with partners, advertisers, or any service providers. Your deadline information is treated as your exclusive property. Siloboda's commitment is to be a trusted deadline management tool where privacy is foundational to every feature and decision.

REF.006

Third-party processors

Siloboda integrates with a limited number of third-party services to deliver core functionality. Apple Inc. (App Store distribution, payment processing, and device management). TestFlight (beta testing distribution and crash reporting). Sentry (error tracking, app stability monitoring, and performance analytics). Each processor is carefully selected and contracted to support essential app operations only. We confirm these third parties provide the same or equal protection for user data as outlined in this policy. All data shared with third-party processors is limited to what is strictly necessary for their defined function. We do not share Deadline, Prep Step, or Risk Check data with these processors—only aggregated stability and crash information. We review third-party agreements regularly to ensure continued alignment with our privacy standards. You retain the right to object to any data sharing by deleting the app.

REF.007

Retention schedule

Deadlines, Prep Steps, and Risk Checks are retained in your app storage for as long as you actively use Siloboda and maintain them. Once you delete a deadline from the app, all associated prep steps and risk checks are permanently removed from your device. User preference settings for Lead Time Lessons, Due Shelf Deck, Deadline Quiz, and Risk Rubric are retained as long as you use the app. App usage analytics are stored locally and are not backed up to any external server. If you uninstall Siloboda, all local data is deleted from your device. Siloboda performs no archival or retention of your deadline data on any server. We do not retain copies of your data after you delete the app. Export or backup of your deadlines is entirely within your control—Siloboda provides no automatic backup service. Data deletion is immediate and irreversible once you remove the app.

REF.008

International data transfers

Siloboda operates as a device-first application with no central servers or cloud infrastructure, so your data does not transfer internationally or cross borders. All deadline, prep step, and risk check data is processed and stored exclusively on your iOS device in the location where you reside. We do not synchronize your data across devices, regions, or geographic boundaries. Third-party processors (Apple, TestFlight, Sentry) may operate globally, but only aggregated crash and stability data—not your personal deadlines—is transferred to their systems. These transfers comply with applicable data protection regulations in the jurisdictions where you use Siloboda. Your deadline management information never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it. We do not perform automated international transfers of user-created deadline data. Your data locality is fully within your control.

REF.009

Your GDPR rights

If you are a resident of the European Union or any country governed by the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights regarding your personal data processed by Siloboda. Right to access: You can request to know what deadline and prep step data Siloboda stores about you; we provide this by showing you what is already visible in your app. Right to rectification: You can correct or update your Deadlines, Prep Steps, and Risk Checks directly within the app. Right to erasure: You can delete any deadline or associated data at any time; uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored information. Right to restrict processing: You can limit app functionality by not entering certain prep steps or risk assessments. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act grants you specific rights regarding your personal information. Right to know: You have the right to request what deadline and risk data Siloboda collects about you; your app display shows this directly. Right to delete: You can delete any Deadline, Prep Step, or Risk Check at any time, and uninstalling the app permanently removes all data from your device. Right to correct: You can modify your deadline titles, dates, categories, and prep step information directly in the app. Right to opt-out: You can choose not to use Siloboda or delete the app entirely to stop any data processing. Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Siloboda does not sell your data, so you have no opt-out rights regarding sales. To submit a California privacy request, contact [email protected] with your request and proof of residency.

REF.011

Security and breach notification

Siloboda implements industry-standard security measures to protect your deadline management data from unauthorized access, alteration, and loss. All data is stored locally on your device using iOS's built-in encryption and secure file storage protocols. We do not maintain copies of your data on external servers, so there is no centralized database to breach. In the unlikely event that a security vulnerability is discovered in the Siloboda app itself, we will work with Apple to issue a security patch through the App Store. If we become aware of any unauthorized access to Siloboda systems or data within 72 hours of detection, we will notify affected users immediately. Notifications will be sent via email to the address associated with your Apple account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your iOS device and keeping Siloboda updated. We recommend enabling iOS device passcode protection and enabling Automatic Updates for Siloboda to receive security patches. Questions about security can be directed to [email protected].

REF.012
