§ START

How do I start using Siloboda?

Open the app and add your first Deadline by entering a title, due date, effort band, and category. The wizard guides you through setup with a preview of your full deadline load. From there, create Prep Steps linked to each deadline to break down preparation. Navigate to Lead Time Lessons to understand preparation timelines.

What should I put in the Deadline title and category?

Use clear, specific titles like "Project final draft due" or "Annual performance review." Categories help organize deadlines by area (Work, Personal, School, Family, etc.). Choose categories that reflect your life—Siloboda groups deadlines by category in Due Shelf Deck for easy browsing and planning.

Can I change a deadline after I create it?

Yes. Tap any Deadline to edit its title, due date, effort band, or category. Changes update immediately. Associated Prep Steps remain linked. You can also delete a Deadline entirely—this removes all linked prep steps and risk checks at once.

§ FEATURES

What's the difference between a Deadline, Prep Step, and Risk Check?

A Deadline is a due date with effort and category. A Prep Step is a milestone task linked to a deadline, with a countdown showing days until action. A Risk Check scores your readiness using Risk Rubric, surfacing blockers. Together they transform vague due dates into structured prep plans.

How does Lead Time Lessons work?

Lead Time Lessons teaches you how to build preparation bands before your deadlines. It shows preparation guidance based on your deadline effort band and gives you contextual tips from Risk Rubric risk assessments. This killer feature turns blind due dates into informed preparation timelines.

What is Risk Rubric?

Risk Rubric is a scoring system that evaluates your readiness for each deadline. It surfaces potential blockers (unfinished prep steps, resource gaps) and readiness gaps using Risk Check data. Higher risk scores mean you need to take action sooner.

§ DATA

Where is my data stored?

All your Deadlines, Prep Steps, and Risk Checks are stored locally on your iOS device. Siloboda does not use cloud storage, accounts, or syncing. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it. This design keeps your deadline information entirely under your control.

Can I backup or export my deadlines?

Siloboda stores data locally on your device. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed. iOS allows you to back up your entire device via iCloud or Mac, which includes Siloboda data. We recommend regular device backups if you want to preserve your deadline history.

Is Siloboda free? Does it have subscriptions?

Siloboda is a one-time purchase with no ongoing subscriptions, in-app purchases, or hidden fees. You own the app forever once purchased. All features—Deadlines, Prep Steps, Risk Checks, Lead Time Lessons, Quiz, Due Shelf Deck, and Risk Rubric—are included with no paywalls.

§ DEBUG

Siloboda crashed. What should I do?

Force-close the app and reopen it. Your deadline data is saved locally, so nothing is lost. If crashes persist, try deleting and reinstalling Siloboda from the App Store. Contact [email protected] with details (device model, iOS version, what you were doing) so we can investigate.

My Prep Steps aren't showing countdown timers correctly.

Verify your device date and time are correct (Settings > General > Date & Time). Countdown timers depend on accurate system time. If the issue persists, check that the Prep Step due date is set to a future date and is linked to a valid Deadline.

Can I use Siloboda without an internet connection?

Yes. Siloboda works entirely offline. All features—creating Deadlines, Prep Steps, Risk Checks, Lead Time Lessons, and Risk Rubric—function without internet. You never need to sign in or sync. Your data is 100% on-device.
